The year was 1949, the exactly date – 1 August. At that day was enacted building of Public automobile course with a decree of Ministerial counsel. It was a prototype of automobile training in Ruse , an ancestor of today's Vocational School of Transport . The first Public automobile course was direct subordinated to Regional automobile post in Ruse , which was managed by dipl. eng Konstantin Gabrovsky. It had continued five mounts from beginning of August to the end of December 1949. 80 students put their names down for the course and 76 students received driving license for a professional driver. After successfully ending of the first batch of graduates, the course won its well – deserved social rating. From the beginning of 1950, it had already renamed to Public motor school. That name became very popular and it had existed by 1957. During 1962 automobile training marked on new step in its development. 1962 was birth year of cabinet teaching. The first “swallows” of that pedagogical hit were, an Internal – combustion engines, Auto-constructions and a Traffic ordinance. The next year – 1963 brought another change. We had become Vocational technical school of automobile repair. The driver's parallel, bars was restored in 1963. We had already had new name – Vocational technical school of motor-transport. In this way the era of categories began. They rendered successfully effective and steadfast form of the vocational development.
